Ms. Dee discovered her passion for sports at an early age while growing up in Sturgis, South Dakota. At just 13 years old, she showed early leadership and heart by starting her own business out of her local high school, coaching gymnastics for children ages four through twelve and discovering how much she loved working with kids.

She went on to become a four-year letter winner in track, gymnastics, and cross-country. In her senior year, she was honored as South Dakota’s Honor Athlete and inducted into the Hall of Fame. Ms. Dee earned a scholarship to the University of South Dakota*, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Health Education. While in college, she also coached the local high school gymnastics team, leading them to three consecutive state championships, all while deepening her passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes.

In 1986, Ms. Dee relocated to Southern Nevada, where she began coaching the “Hot Shots” at the Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts. Later, she partnered with Carol Baker, founder of the Wonderland School of Dance, to form the company now known as Leap4Fun. As owner for more than 30 years, she has built Leap4Fun around her belief that children learn best when they feel supported, confident, and loved. While growing the business, she also earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Ms. Dee is known for creating a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels seen and celebrated. Her greatest joy comes from watching children grow, gain confidence, and discover what they are capable of, both in the classroom and beyond.
