Ms. Dee grew up in Sturgis, South Dakota, where her love for sports and working with children began at a young age. By the time she was 13, she was already coaching gymnastics out of her local high school, teaching children ages four through twelve. That early experience sparked what would become a lifelong passion for helping kids grow, learn, and believe in themselves.

In high school, Ms. Dee was a four-year letter winner in track, gymnastics, and cross-country. During her senior year, she was named South Dakota’s Honor Athlete and inducted into the Hall of Fame. She went on to earn a scholarship to the University of South Dakota, where she received a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Health Education. While attending college, she also coached a local high school gymnastics team, leading them to three consecutive state championships and further shaping her love for teaching and mentoring young athletes.

In 1986, Ms. Dee moved to Southern Nevada and began coaching the “Hot Shots” at the Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts. She later partnered with Carol Baker, founder of the Wonderland School of Dance, to create what is now known as Leap4Fun. For more than 30 years, Ms. Dee has owned and grown Leap4Fun, building it around her belief that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged. During this time, she also earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Ms. Dee is known for creating a positive, uplifting environment where every child feels seen and valued. Her greatest joy comes from watching children gain confidence, discover their strengths, and realize what they are capable of, both in the classroom and in life.
