Ms. Dee started her love for sports at an early age in Sturgis, South Dakota. When she was 13 years old, she started her own business, out of the local high school, coaching gymnastics to children aged four through 12 years of age. She went on to become a four-year “Letter” winner in track, gymnastics and cross-country. In her senior year of high school, she was awarded South Dakota’s Honor Athlete. She was given a scholarship to the University of South Dakota where she went on to get a BA degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Health Education. While in college, she coached the local high school’s Gymnastics team to three consecutive State Championships. In 1986, she made her move to Southern Nevada where she began coaching the “Hot Shots” at the Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts. In 1988, she joined forces with the founder, Carol Baker, and began the company that is now known as LEAP4FUN.
Ms. Eva started her dancing career at the age of five in Kansas City. When she was 10 years of age, she danced in “The Wizard of OZ” at the Kansas City Starlight Theatre. She has also danced in shows such as “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Oklahoma” and “Promises Promises”. After making her move to Las Vegas, she danced in several shows at the Holiday Casino for over 16 years. She has also done choreography for high schools and studios, as well as the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Sign Design Theatre Company. She has taken her love for dance and has become and dance instructor, where she has taught children ranging from the age of two through to professionals.
Ms. Cyndy has been working with young children in the Las Vegas and Henderson preschools and elementary schools for over 22 years. Throughout her school years, she trained and performed with the San Francisco Bay area’s finest ballet instructors including Peninsula Ballet Theater and The Main Civic Ballet. Later, her studies took her to New York where she was a scholarship student and apprentice to the Harkness Ballet Company. She later accepted a scholarship to study and perform with the San Francisco Ballet where she became a teacher’s assistant for the elementary level ballet students. All the while performing for many years in several different production shows here in Las Vegas and on tour across the U.S., Ms. Cyndy is always devoted to her love of teaching to the next generation of dancers.
Ms.Kerryann has been a part of the dance world for over 30 years. In High School, she not only trained as a dancer, but was captain of her drill team. She performed in all half time shows and indoor guard events, as well as multiple community events. She taught in dance studios in South Florida and then went on to get her BA in Dance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Deciding to stay and make a life in Las Vegas, She resumed teaching after receiving her degree, and has taught in dance studios, pre-schools, elementary and middle schools, as well as for the Henderson Therapeutic Rec department. She has choreographed numerous pieces for those schools, as well as production numbers involving more than 250 students at one time. Kerryann wanted to be a dance teacher for as long as she can remember and is thrilled to be able to pass on her love of dance to the next generation of kids.
Cheerleading has been Ms.Treasure’s passion for 14 years. Her experiences include cheerleading at all levels; Pop Warner, All Star, High School and College. She has cheered at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from 2010-2014 and was captain for the 2012-2014 season. Being a UNLV Cheerleader gave her so many great coaching opportunities. She has coached youth programs, middle school, high school and choreographed national routines for competitions.During the Summer of 2014, She was an instructor for the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) which is one of the largest cheerleading companies in the nation.
Ms. Alena has been an athlete since she was a young child. She started out dancing and doing acrobatics, gymnastics and martial arts at age of 3. She started competing in track & field at age 8 and went on to compete as a collegiate pole-vaulter for Seattle Pacific University. She was also on the dance team there and taught her fellow students in a break dancing class near campus. She was a lifeguard for 7 years, taught water aerobics and many youth sports including gymnastics, martial arts, track and soccer. Most recently she worked developing a trampoline fitness training program. She has worked as a stunt woman in Los Angeles and Las Vegas with a specialty in Freerunning and martial arts. She has competed in two seasons of American Ninja Warrior and worked on two seasons of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Ranch challenge . She is very passionate about helping people, children and health and fitness. Alena believes that getting children involved with positively guided physical activity at a young age is one of the keys to a happy, healthy and successful future.
Ms. Cici has been involved with Cheerleading for 8 years. She was a cheerleader in Junior High School, as well as all 4 years of High School, where she become co-captain of the Varsity team. Cici also has a background in gymnastics and dance. Being a cheerleader, dancer and a gymnast has given her many opportunities. She has taught many youth day camps where she was able to teach her own routines. Cici loves Cheerleading and is so excited to have the opportunity to share her passion with children.
Ms. Bridget started cheerleading in Elementary School. She then went on to cheerleading in both Middle School and High School, where she was on a competitive level, elite team. Her team won several championships including the NCA National Championship, and was 1st in the nation! Ms. Bridget went back to her middle school to coach their Cheer team team for 3 years. She has always had a passion for cheerleading, dancing, and tumbling. Ms. Bridget is excited to share her passion with children.
Mrs. Lindsey began her work with gymnastics and dance a very young age. By the age of 10 she was competing in gymnastics and taking classes in many different styles of dance. She was involved in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Salsa and Tap and performed all genres at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center. Mrs. Lindsey was a cheerleader at Lancaster High School and also a member of their dance team. While studying at Cal State Northridge, she danced on the college’s dance team as well. There she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies & another in Anthropology. As the years went on, Mrs. Lindsey has taken her passion for the Arts and is devoted to instructing children at a base level to encourage a strong foundation in the Arts. Mrs. Lindsey is highly motivated to get children active and excited about dance and gymnastics at a young age. She has been with the company since 2004.
Ms. Isabel is a University of North Texas graduate. There she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. While in Texas, Ms. Isabel was a Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancer for 2 seasons. She has gone on and has taken the Debbie Allen Summer Intensives in: Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Flamenco and Hip-Hop. She has performed in many stage/live performances. Ms. Isabel worked as a dance instructor and educated middle school-age children on coordination skills through the art of dance. She focused on teaching the meaning of teamwork with a primary focus on assets such as: self-confidence, motivation, dedication, and most important to her, self-perseverance. Ms. Isabel also works with the children at her church and has been instructing the students in our program with grace and character.
In Loving Memory of our Founder Carol Baker 1943-2010
Carol Baker began her love of dance at the age of five. While growing up in England she started her formal training in London at the Arts Educational Ballet School dancing and singing along side Julie Andrews. Her successful entry into entertainment began when she joined the legendary dance troupe known as the Bluebells performing throughout Europe. Carol arrived in Las Vegas at the age of 23, where she performed in shows such as the “Casino de Paris” and the “Folies Bergere”. In 1979, she combined her love for children and the arts, and created the concept of bringing dance and gymnastics directly to the children.
